Unbiased review of the Nikon D40x DSLR digital camera. |
|
As you may have figured out my now, I’m not a professional photographer or product reviewer. I’m just your average Joe that upgraded form a regular digital camera to a digital DSLR camera, just so you know where I’m coming from. If you decide to make the leap from a regular digital camera to a DSLR the first thing you will notice is the size of the camera, my old one was a Canon digital elph which is a very small and easily fit in my pocket. Even though the Nikon D40x is one of the smallest DSLR cameras available, it is considerably bigger and requires a camera case and is much more cumbersome to carry around. When I took it on vacation I did get used to it fairly quickly and once I saw the picture quality the size suddenly became a non-issue. The quality of the pictures I took with my 10 megapixel Nikon D40x was just awesome in every aspect, close ups, landscapes and even moving objects. Something that would never had been possible with my old camera. I can finally take pictures at my kids sporting events and get quality shots with no movement blur, and with the ability to take many pictures very fast I can get great action sequence pictures. It has definitely taken my photography to a higher level, I’m actually thinking about setting up a small home studio to take family pictures in order to replace those studio and school pictures. Another great aspect of the Nikon D40x is its ease of use, as I said before I know very little about photography and found it very easy to use. You are able to put the camera in auto mode and start taking pictures with little effort. But taking the time to read the manual and learn about all the settings is highly recommended. Even though the D40x takes great pictures in the auto mode, understanding and using the proper settings will give better results. If you are considering upgrading to a DSLR camera I would highly recommend this product, I feel it is a high quality product at a great price.
Some things to remember: I paid $799 for the camera and another $299 for the extra lens, and recieved no other extras. That's $1098.00 plus tax. With the offer below you get more for less cash, plus no shipping or tax. If you are considering buying this product, you should check out the special deal below. I wish I would have seen this before my purchase. Product information Can't find what your looking For? Search our site or the web.
